Have you ever heard of UFO clouds? These are a type of cloud formation that can appear to look like alien spacecraft hovering in the sky.

In fact, this is a very rare phenomenon of lenticular clouds, usually forming around high mountain peaks. They can be seen in many locations around the world. This type of cloud usually occurs when strong, wet winds blow over rugged terrain.

When the moist air stream encounters obstacles in its path, such as geomorphology or a tall building, the layers of air are pushed up into the air. When they reach saturation point, they condense into clouds.

This weather phenomenon is very rare, producing stable and lens-shaped clouds, or flying saucers, that can sometimes look like terrible tornadoes about to hit the ground.
